When Women Are the Mission: Brands We Love That Are Getting It Right

There’s no shortage of brands talking about women right now.

Far fewer are actually building for them - with intention, credibility and a real understanding of what women need at every stage of life.

At LBR/PR, this is the work. Through LBR/PR Women+, we partner with companies that are not only serving women, but actively reshaping the systems around them, whether that’s in healthcare, business or community-building. And while we spend a lot of time talking about visibility and credibility - how it’s earned, why it matters - we also believe in something equally important: Using our platform to elevate the brands already doing it well.

Because when you’re building for women, visibility isn’t just a growth strategy, it’s a force multiplier. The more we surface the right companies, the more we accelerate impact. So to round out our blog this month, we’d like to highlight just a few of the brands and organizations we’re proud to support, collaborate with, or call part of the extended LBR/PR community.

Women’s Healthcare: Building What Has Long Been Missing

Women’s health has historically been underfunded, under-researched, and underserved. That’s starting to change, but only because of the organizations doing the hard, necessary work to close those gaps.

Women’s Health Horizons is one of the clearest examples of what progress looks like in action. We had the opportunity to support and attend their NYC on March 18 and 19, and what stood out wasn’t just the innovation, it was the intentionality. Bringing together clinicians, researchers, founders, investors and operators who are deeply committed to advancing women’s health is how real change happens.

Genesis Fertility, one of our clients, is another example of impact at a deeply personal level, helping individuals and couples navigate family building on their own terms. Fertility is never one-size-fits-all, and their approach reflects that reality with both clinical expertise and empathy.

We’re also inspired by companies like Emulait, which is rethinking infant feeding through a lens that prioritizes both mother and child, and organizations like the Mothers Milk Bank Northeast, which provide critical access to donor milk for families who need it most.

The biggest takeaway? We know the research, funding and education around women’s health issues isn’t where it needs to be, but through collaboration, attention and financial support, these and other organizations are making progress towards real change.

Women’s Empowerment: Creating Space, Access and Opportunity

If women’s healthcare is about addressing physical and mental well-being, this next category is about everything else required to thrive: community, capital, mentorship and opportunity.

Luminary has long been our agency’s home base in NYC, but it’s more than a workspace. It’s a platform for connection, education and community. It’s where we have built relationships with like-minded women across industries, collaborated with partners and met clients and friends along the way. In a world where access is everything, spaces like this matter.

The Women Presidents Organization (WPO) represents another critical layer: peer networks for women leading at the highest levels. We’ve supported their work in the past, and the impact is clear - when women have access to each other, they grow stronger businesses.

That same spirit of support extends to Fierce Foundry, where we serve in an advisory capacity to elevate the work of femtech startups across the ecosystem and amplify the voice of founder Melissa Wallace. At its core, Fierce Foundry is tackling one of entrepreneurship’s most persistent gaps through a mission to launch and scale female-founded startups from impactful idea, to successful exit.

And lastly, platforms like OpalWomen, where the visionary Katherine Dean leads a team of dedicated financial planners and coaches serving independent, hard-working women. The timing of her work is especially significant as the Great Wealth Transfer unfolds, with $84 trillion expected to change hands, reshaping how women build wealth, define legacy, and pursue financial freedom.

These organizations aren’t just empowering women in theory, they’re building the ecosystems that make advancement possible.

Why This Matters (And Why We’ll Keep Talking About It)

These leaders and their companies are proof that when women are centered, entire categories evolve. They are redefining standards, challenging outdated systems and creating new pathways where none existed before. And importantly, they’re doing it with credibility. Because when your audience is women, that’s the bar. Not just visibility. Not just good intentions. But real, tangible impact.

At LBR/PR, we believe part of our role is to help ensure these companies aren’t overlooked, under-recognized, or under-amplified.

So, consider this both a spotlight and an invitation: To support them. To learn from them. And to continue elevating the brands building a better future for women.
